What a catch!
Just when we thought we had seen it all this beauty rolled on the lot! A fully restored 1984 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 with the 4+3 transmission. This car truly is a labor of love, a father, and his daughter did all the work to bring this amazing car back to life and did we mention it still has the original drivetrain.
This car is top to bottom in pristine condition as if it just rolled off a GM showroom. The paint was redone by the same artist Chip Foose used! All the digital gauges inside this car still work like new. The 5.7L V8 also still purs at idle like a caged demon begging to hit the open road. And with the special 4+3 transmission you have more room for fun and excitement than ever before.
Come see it
Now we can’t say this car will be here for long due to its impeccable nature but be sure if this is a car you even remotely see yourself owning, come down and fall in love with Chevy all over again. This is a car that isn’t done justice from photos on the internet you have to come see it in person.
1. It’s time to get
your ride back into prime shape!
People hit the gym and work on getting “back” into shape before
the summer season! Spring time is the right time to get everything looking
great! You should make the same decision for your vehicle? Regular maintenance
and tune-ups at the scheduled times will not only keep you running well but
will give your vehicle and all of it’s
parts a longer life! Consult your vehicle owners manual for regular oil change
schedules, check-up/tune-up intervals
and simple items like tire pressure, oil and fuel type.
2. Looking “BUFF’ is
good for your cars soul! Time for the spring workout.
It’s always nice to drive a clean and shiny car, there is more than just visual
appeal to having a clean car. Regular washing, buffing and waxing will maintain
and keep your cars paint and clear coat in good condition. This in turn keeps
the road grime and weather to a minimum and will reduce long term corrosion and
rust spots. Having the headlights buffed will keep your lights bright and allow
you to see the road ahead! Keeping the inside clean is important too, carpet
shampooing along with changing the air filter!
This can reduce internal allergens floating around in the cabin of your
car and help you reduce airborne allergens and illnesses. This is especially
important coming out of winter during a harsh cold and flu season in Colorado.
3. Don’t drive angry,
don’t drive angry (remember Groundhog Day?)
Here, I offer you a little “car yoga” exercise,
and you don’t have to stand on your head. Take a deep breath and relax behind
the wheel. Aggressive driving is known to increase your fuel use by a
significant amount; some say as much as 30%!!! Wow! Want to save money at the
pump? Slow down, give yourself more time and planning your routes ahead of time
are just a few of the many things you can do to save money and gas!
4. Tire pressure –
your gateway to a smooth ride.
Measure your tire pressure regularly, as this will keep your
vehicle ride smoother and believe it or not, the right tire pressure will
improve fuel economy. As it warms up outside, the air in your tires expands and
after winter, your tires need more attention. Cold temperatures decrease the
air pressure in tires, which adds to the rolling resistance caused by snow and
slush. Low tire pressure is what turns on the funky little light in the dash
too (TPMS – Tire Pressure Monitoring System). This is a safety feature and can
let you know when you are running low, or are going flat
From everyone here at McCloskey Motors, we hope you have a fantastic Spring
Break and enjoy an awesome Colorado Summer!!

To our Friends & Relatives,
The Colorado Springs Area has been tremendously affected by the recent Waldo Canyon Firestorm. Thousands of people have been evacuated and hundreds of people will be in shelters for a long period of time. Hundreds of homes have been incinerated and thousands of homes are damaged. As you may know, Ann, Julie, & myself have been evacuated for several days and do not know the status of our home and it may be several weeks or months until we are able to be back in our own beds. We are all fine and are anxious to return to our home or what is left of it. There are so many people less fortunate than us, some have lost a loved one and some are still missing or unaccounted for.
Our close friends’ homes have been incinerated along with all those affected by this tragedy.
With the outpouring of local support, this is still sure to be a long term relief effort. I have received numerous calls from relatives, friends, and people with whom we do business asking what they can do to help. Together with our management team, Ann and myself decided the best way to gather as many donations as possible for the relief effort, is to facilitate a donation event, here at at our business at
6710 North Academy Blvd.
on July 5, 2012
3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
This event will be broadcast LIVE on up to 8 radio stations at one time and will be going on from 3 pm until 7 pm that evening. While there are a bunch of people bringing items, food and household goods to donate – what these efforts really need is money for the things these organizations that don’t get donated. Therefore – CASH IS KING.
We are investigating each resource to make sure their donation stays here in Colorado Springs, to be used for this tragedy, and that they are credible resources. We ask that you join us in donating what you can to this effort. This is our town, our city and we take care of our own.
We have invited these local organizations to attend the event:
Any amount you can donate will make a significant difference in the effort. No amount is too small (or too large).
If you can’t attend the event but would like to send a cash donation, please make your tax deductible donation payable to one of the above organizations referencing the “Waldo Canyon Relief Effort” and mail it to
