The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department recently recognized McCloskey Motors for their ongoing fundraising for the Waldo Canyon relief effort. In total, McCloskey’s has raised over $25,000 in cash and donations for local organizations including the The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department.
To date, with their Donation Station and other fundraising efforts, McCloskey Family of Dealerships has raised over $25,000 cash for local relief organizations in support of the Waldo Canyon Relief Effort. The tragedy that consumed over 350 homes in the Colorado Springs Pikes Peak Region this past summer personally affected Owners Joe & Ann McCloskey as they had to evacuate their own home and saw many of their neighbors lose their homes altogether.
Joe McCloskey says, “we take care of our own” and has made sure that the donations stay here in the community to be used for the community. The organizations receiving donations include the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services, and Care & Share Food Bank.
